This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and capable income collection professional to take on a leadership role with scope to make a real impact.

We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, an appetite for change and practical ideas on how to modernise and streamline how we work.

You’ll lead a team that is responsible for Accounts Receivable and Adult Social Care Collection - considered together that means collection values of almost £150m. You will also have responsibility for our Scanning Team, who scan and index all paper documents for Revenues & Benefits teams and Parking Team and manage the processing of physical cheques.

Highly effective leadership skills will be key in this role, enabling you to get the best from an experienced and knowledgeable team, while reviewing current practice to identify opportunities to make better use of digital technology and automation to increase the team’s capacity. An emphasis on professional development will enable you to share expertise and build resilience across a small team. And excellent relationship and communication skills will be important – enabling you to build positive relationships with different service areas, to ensure the right processes support a ‘right first-time’ approach to the data and detail that effective income collection relies on.

We expect that you will already have significant management experience in income collection and debt recovery, and that your technical know-how is supported by first class people skills.
